Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia, said on May 20 that Chinese representatives had reacted positively to the successful tests of the Russian Sarmat missile system.

"Naturally, we had a conversation about our achievements. And our Chinese colleagues, without calling a spade a spade, nevertheless made it clear that they are happy for us," he said on Channel One.

Commander of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces (Strategic Missile Forces) On May 12, Sergey Karakayev informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that Russia had successfully test-launched a heavy Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile. The deployment of new installations should enhance the capabilities of the ground-based grouping of Russia's strategic nuclear forces. After the tests are completed, the missile forces will continue to work on putting the complex on combat duty.
