A squally wind tore off the roof of an apartment building and cut off power lines in the Trans-Baikal Territory. This was reported on May 20 in the press service of the administration of the Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky municipal district.

"Today, a squally wind caused the roof of a semi—detached house on Yeniseiskaya Street to collapse. <...> According to residents, a powerful gust of wind literally tore off the roof covering, damaging the fence and severing power lines," a message in the Maks messenger said.

It is specified that specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene to eliminate the consequences.

On May 10, the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) reported that a strong wind tore off the roof of an apartment building. It was clarified that during the audit, the prosecutor's office will assess compliance with housing legislation and licensing requirements by the management company. Based on the results of the audit, if there are grounds, response measures will be taken.
