Russia has adopted a new GOST for toilet bowls

Rosstandart has approved a new GOST for toilet bowls and other sanitary products, which comes into force in June. This was reported on May 21 by RIA Novosti with reference to Rosstandart data.

It clarifies that the document applies to ceramic sanitary products, including toilets, sinks, bidets and pedestals, and also introduces a more detailed classification. If earlier in the 2018 standard toilets were divided into only three types (floor, wall and children's), now 16 categories are provided.

It is noted that the size requirements have been simplified in the new GOST: the permissible height of the toilet bowl has been increased to the range of 38-42 cm instead of the fixed 40 cm, and the height of the water lock can be from 5 to 7 cm instead of the previous value of 6 cm.

Rosstandart has adopted the first GOST for vegan perfume, which provides for the absence of animal components in the composition. It was clarified that GOST defines the criteria by which perfumery and cosmetic products are checked for compliance with the vegan status, that is, for the absence of ingredients of animal origin.
