In three regional centers of Ukraine, searches were conducted in the buildings of the State Department of the National Police

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained a number of high-ranking National Police officers in several regions of the country. This was reported on May 20 by the Ukrainian edition of Insider.

According to him, the investigative actions in the main departments of the National Police in several areas at once relate to the case of obtaining illegal benefits. Searches and detentions took place at the heads of regional departments.

"All are suspected under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Obtaining unlawful benefits")," the publication's Telegram channel says.

Among the suspects are the assistant to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, the chief of police of the Ivano—Frankivsk region and his deputy. The first deputy chief of Police of the Ternopil region and the Deputy chief of police of the Zhytomyr region were also detained.

"The national police has suspended four officials involved in the bribery case," the newspaper noted.
