Natalia Garshina, an expert on organizational development, said that KPIs are often perceived as a motivation tool, although in fact they only set the direction of work.

In conversation with the agency RuNews24.Ru On May 19, she noted that when financially linked without taking into account the individual characteristics of employees, a "minimum syndrome" occurs when people perform only the necessary amount of tasks without unnecessary effort.

Garshina emphasized that the pursuit of quantitative indicators without assessing quality often leads to formalism and imitation of activity. She added that KPIs should be linked to real business value, and not used for the sake of reporting.

The expert also noted that the result becomes random without well-established processes, resources and controls. In her opinion, the indicators need to be integrated into the management system and monitor not only the outcome, but also the work process itself.

In addition, Garshina noted that KPIs are not capable of stimulating initiative by themselves: the corporate environment is important for this — trust, support and the opportunity to make mistakes. As a result, according to her, KPIs are a tool for focusing, not a substitute for management, and it is important for a manager to work with a team rather than hiding behind numbers.

Earlier that day, Daria Serebryakova, a clinical psychologist and deputy head of the rehabilitation program at Dr. Isaev's Clinic, gave advice to Russians working with a toxic boss. According to her, first of all, it is necessary to look at your official duties, employment contract, subordination system and job requirements.

Alexander Safonov, a professor at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, said on May 6 that "quiet dismissal" among zoomers was a way to protect personal boundaries and avoid emotional burnout. Young employees are increasingly abandoning constant availability and performing only those tasks that are specified in the job description, RT reports. According to the expert, many companies continue to increase pressure through KPIs and tight controls, which only accelerates the departure of Generation Z employees.

Prior to this, Sofia Panferova, the operating director of the IT company, said that the main difficulty when working with zoomers, that is, young specialists under 28-30 years old, is related to non-compliance with agreements, deadlines and labor standards, writes NSN.

In March, Ekaterina Zelenkova, HR Director, shared recommendations on how to properly ask for a salary increase. According to her, one of the common mistakes is to focus the conversation solely on personal circumstances. She noted that it is more effective to emphasize her value to the company, pointing to the expansion of responsibilities, the increase in the number of projects and the specific results achieved. 360.ru .
