Sobyanin took part in the parade of the Cadet movement on Poklonnaya Gora
The traditional parade of Moscow cadets "The bond of generations will not be broken", dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, took place on Poklonnaya Gora. This was announced by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in the Maks messenger.
52 teams marched through Pobediteley Square: over 3.5 thousand cadets from different regions of the country, as well as from Belarus.
As reported on the portal mos.ru The parade was attended by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Russian Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov.
"May the fire of cadet brotherhood always burn in your hearts. May the link between the generations of the victorious people never be interrupted," the mayor of the capital addressed the cadets. He awarded school No. 1770 with a letter of thanks for preserving the traditions of the Cadet movement of the city.
Today, the Cadet movement of the capital unites about 28 thousand people. In Moscow's secondary schools, cadet classes are one of the core areas in which students are trained for military and civil service. The first 70 cadet classes were opened in the capital's educational institutions in 2014.
Today, cadet classes operate in 225 schools in the capital, where over 25,000 students receive education.
