Sales of new Nissan cars in Russia increased more than fivefold
In Russia, in the first four months of this year, sales of new Nissan cars increased 5.4 times compared to the same period last year. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on May 20.
So, in January-April, 1,459 new Nissan passenger cars were registered. This is 436% more than last year, when 272 cars of this Japanese brand were registered in four months. She is not officially represented in Russia.
More than 80% of sales were accounted for by the Chinese-built Nissan Qashqai compact crossover (1,175 units). The X-Trail crossover became the second most popular, and it is noticeably lagging behind the leaders — sales amounted to only 191 units.
As Tselikov noted, more than 95% of new Nissan cars arrive in Russia from the Chinese market.
The day before, it was reported that sales of new Honda passenger cars in Russia increased 4.5 times in the first four months of 2026. At the same time, sales of new Skoda cars in Russia in January—April were three times higher than in the same period last year.
