An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred in the border region of Turkey and Syria, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported on May 20.

It is noted that in the Turkish province of Malatya, tremors were recorded at 09:00 Moscow time. The epicenter was located near the village of Gulumushagy, and the center was located at a depth of 4.4 km.

Currently, there is no information about the destruction yet. At the same time, tremors were felt in neighboring provinces.

As a result of the 5.2 magnitude earthquake on May 18 in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the southwestern part of China, more than 7 thousand residents of the city of Liuzhou were evacuated. It was noted that 13 buildings also collapsed.
