The media reported the death of a man as a result of a car explosion in Damascus.

As a result of the detonation of an explosive device near the building of the Ministry of Defense in Damascus, one person was killed. This was reported on May 19 by the SANA news agency, citing the country's defense ministry.

"As a result of a car bomb explosion near the Ministry of Defense building in the Bab Sharqi area of Damascus, a soldier was killed and several civilians were injured," the publication says.

According to the director of the Ambulance and emergency medical Services of the Ministry of Health, Najib al-Naasan, 23 people were injured in the incident.

It is specified that the victims were taken to the nearest hospitals, where they received the necessary medical care.
