High-speed Internet will appear in Sapsany and Swallows

Satellite Internet will be provided in Sapsany and Swallows. This was announced on May 19 by the press service of Russian Railways (RZD).

"As part of the CIPR-2026 conference, together with the Russian aerospace company BUREAU 1440 (part of X Holding), we approved a plan to introduce a new generation of satellite communications in high—speed trains," the Telegram channel says.

It is noted that 135 trains are planned to be equipped with special equipment, including Sapsan Moscow – St. Petersburg and Lastochki Moscow — Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow – Ivanovo, Moscow – Minsk, St. Petersburg – Valdai, St. Petersburg – Sortavala, St. Petersburg – Pskov and others.

The press service stressed that the test tasks will begin this year and last until the end of next year.
