The gunners of the Vostok group of forces destroyed the control points of the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Artillery crews of 152-millimeter towed howitzers "Msta-B" of the Vostok group of forces destroyed the control points of drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on May 20.

During aerial reconnaissance, operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) discovered camouflaged control points for Ukrainian unmanned aircraft near the village of Velikomikhailovka. According to the ministry, the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in urban areas and forest belts were identified by remote antennas and drone take-off points.

After that, as specified in the Ministry of Defense, the coordinates of the targets were transferred to the gunners of the 29th combined arms army. The Msta-B howitzer crews delivered precise strikes against enemy targets. At the same time, fire correction and damage control were carried out from the air.

As a result, the enemy's UAV control points were destroyed. The UAV operators of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who were in position were also eliminated.

On May 19, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the attack aircraft of the Vostok group of forces had cleared the AFU stronghold in the Zaporizhia region. According to the ministry, UAV operators have uncovered a stronghold and an active machine-gun emplacement of Ukrainian formations. The coordinates of the identified targets were promptly transferred to the mortar crews to ensure the safe advance of the Russian infantry.
