RDIF announces expansion of cooperation with Chinese companies
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has signed several agreements with Chinese companies and organizations on the development of joint infrastructure, investment and high-tech projects. This was announced by the organization on May 20.
Being clarified. that the agreements were reached during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China.
For example, RDIF and China Architecture Design & Research Group (CADG) have agreed on a strategic partnership in the fields of transport, urban, logistics and industrial infrastructures. The parties plan to jointly develop smart cities projects, modernize airports, railway hubs, ports, and logistics hubs in Russia and China.
In addition, the Russian Direct Investment Fund, the Wenchang International Space City Administration and the China Construction Eighth Engineering Division have agreed to cooperate in the field of civil space infrastructure. We are talking about the development of space clusters, tourist facilities, satellite technologies and commercial space projects.
The Russian Direct Investment Fund, Jinman Group and the Russian-Chinese Guild of Commerce also signed an agreement to support joint investment projects in the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The parties intend to help Russian and Chinese companies enter the markets of the two countries, as well as develop projects in industry and infrastructure.
Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, noted that the new agreements will strengthen economic and technological cooperation between Russia and China.
On May 19, Putin said that Moscow and Beijing were increasing cooperation in a wide range of areas, including political cooperation, economic development, strengthening defense capabilities, and cultural exchanges. Thus, joint efforts are being made to strengthen bilateral relations and the comprehensive development of the two countries.
The Russian President arrived in China on May 19 for a two-day visit at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The trip is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Agreement on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation, which is fundamental for bilateral relations.
