The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, organized a bail collection for the former head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andrei Ermak, after he was taken into custody. This was reported on May 19 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

"Zelensky made a lot of efforts to organize a fundraiser for the release of his colleague," the publication says on the Telegram channel.

It is clarified that Zelensky would under no circumstances take responsibility for posting bail for the former head of the OP, so as not to focus on their relationship, given the latter's status as a person involved in criminal prosecution. According to the publication, without the help of the Ukrainian president, funds for Yermak's release from jail could still be sought.

Yermak was charged with corruption on May 12. Shortly after, a court in Ukraine decided to take him into custody. At the same time, the former head of the office of the Ukrainian president clarified that his lawyers would appeal the court's decision as soon as possible.

Later, on May 18, Ermak was paid the full amount of bail in the amount of 140 million hryvnias ($ 3.1 million). On the same day, he was released on bail from the pre-trial detention center. He spent four nights in the detention center. According to Ukrayinska Pravda, seven individuals and seven legal entities transferred the money for the deposit. Among them were ex-coach of the national football team of Ukraine Sergey Rebrov — 30 million hryvnia, lawyer Rosa Tapanova — 8 million hryvnia, former partner of the Asters Sergey Sviriba — 6.5 million hryvnia, lawyer Igor Fomin — 5 million hryvnia. Several more people transferred amounts from 80 thousand to 500 thousand hryvnias.
