Dmitry Kuzin, Executive Director of the Association of Climate Industry Enterprises, Candidate of Economic Sciences, announced this on Tuesday, May 19.

According to the expert, most often the indoor unit of the air conditioner "leaks" due to clogging of the drainage tub and tube, in which mud deposits accumulate during the operation of the air conditioner.

"The source of dirt in the indoor unit of the air conditioner is household dust in the room. Poplar fluff, as well as foliage and street dust are dangerous for the outdoor unit of the air conditioner," Kuzin told the Moscow city news agency.

He added that as a preventive measure, it is advisable to clean the filter grids of the indoor unit of air conditioners every six months.
