The most trouble-free cars among the Chinese were models of the Auto, Zeekr and Tank brands. This was reported to Izvestia on May 20 by experts from the Avtoteka online car history check service (Avito project).

They studied the data from the reports to identify the brands of Chinese cars with the highest proportion of cars without accidents in the history of operation. The study included machines for which users ordered reports between October 2025 and March 2026.

The share of cars from China without accidents was 75.8%. Such cars are most likely to be found among Li Auto models, where the figure has reached almost 86%. This is followed by Zeekr (85.4%), Tank (83.8%), GAC (83.5%) and Jetour (83.4%).

The leaders in the rating of trouble-free models were Jetour T2 (87.5%), Tank 300 (87.1%), and Li Auto L7 (85.7%). The top ten also includes Changan Uni-T and Zeekr 001, Geely Monjaro, Li Auto L9, Haval M6, GAC GS8 and Haval Dargo, all with a score exceeding 80%.

If we compare with the same period last year, Lifan has added the most cars without accidents — by 15.1%. FAW (3.5%), Haval (3.4%) and GAC (2.2%) also showed positive dynamics.

Experts noted that Chinese cars are increasingly being resold: today they occupy about 6% of the used car market, which is twice as much as at the beginning of 2023. Their popularity is also growing: in 2026, demand was 38% higher than in January-April 2025, while other foreign cars added 18%. As Andrey Tumkin, Managing director of Avtoteka, pointed out, the number of requests for checking Chinese cars increased by 65% over the year.

Dagestan (85.9%), Belgorod Region (85.1%), Penza Region (83.7%), Stavropol Territory (83.4%) and Lipetsk Region (83%) were among the major regions in terms of the number of Chinese cars without accidents. When compared with the same period last year, their share increased most noticeably in the Omsk region — by 16% (to 81.1%).

Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said yesterday that the maintenance of a passenger car no older than 10 years in Russia costs an average of 102 thousand rubles per year. The lowest cost of ownership was recorded for the Skoda Rapid and Lada Granta models — about 79 thousand rubles per year.
