Rosneft's "green" investments reached 77 billion rubles in 2025.
Rosneft's "green" investments increased by 4% in 2025 and amounted to almost 77 billion rubles, over three years this amount exceeded 215 billion rubles, the company said. The funds are directed to large-scale projects with environmental impact, including reducing industrial emissions, improving water management and improving pipeline reliability.
Last year, Rosneft approved the Clean Air program in support of Russia's national development goals and the federal project of the same name. The main goal of the corporate program is to reduce industrial emissions at 41 company facilities in 13 cities. In addition, as part of the strategic goal for the rational use of water resources, the Clean Water program was developed and approved, combining measures and projects to improve the quality of wastewater treatment at Rosneft facilities.
In addition, the company continued activities in the regions of its presence to reclaim lands of "historical heritage" that were violated during the Soviet period. In 2025, 360 hectares of land were reclaimed, of which about 80% was reclaimed by its own eco—service. In 2025, Rosneft processed more than 3.8 million tons of drilling rigs and about 0.9 million tons of oil-containing waste, which reduced the volume of oil-containing waste of the "historical heritage".
Last year, as part of the Tamura program for the conservation of Arctic ecosystem biodiversity, which was launched in 2024, a full-scale aerial survey of the Kara polar bear subpopulation was conducted for the first time. 10 research expeditions have already been organized in cooperation with the country's leading scientific institutes.
Also in 2025, employees of Rosneft's subsidiaries planted about 8 million tree seedlings of various species in different regions of the country during reforestation activities. Over the past five years, a total of about 46 million trees have been planted.
