The purpose of any exercise is to improve the combat training of the armed forces. This was announced on Tuesday, May 19, by Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense, commenting on the exercises that have begun on the use of Russian nuclear forces in the face of the threat of aggression.

"The goal is to raise the level of training. It is necessary to look at this based on the realities of improving tactics and strategies of combat operations," he said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

According to Kolesnik, one of the components of the exercises is to demonstrate the power of arms to Russia's enemies, as there are currently too many aggressive statements from the collective West.

"These exercises will show them what can happen to them in the event of aggressive military actions towards our country. I think the results of these exercises will be partially published so that the West understands how the aggression against Russia will end," he concluded.
