France recalled the consequences of Germany's "rearmament"
Germany's rearmament poses a great threat to France and the world. This was announced on May 19 by the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot.
"When Germany rearms, it always ends very badly for France and the whole world! <...> It is infinitely more dangerous for us than the pseudo- "Russian threat"!" he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Thus, Filippo commented on the publication of Cerfia, which reported on the doubling of the German military budget by 2030, as well as Berlin's intention to become the "first army of Europe."
German politician Sarah Wagenknecht said on April 29 that Germany's draft budget for 2027 is a devastating blow to the country's future. According to her, the financial plan provides for the largest arms buildup since 1945 and is accompanied by an "unabashed" increase in debt obligations. She pointed out that the volume of new borrowings will amount to 200 billion euros, while the funds are almost entirely directed to the purchase of weapons and the "total militarization" of Germany.
Director of the First Department of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) On April 27, Russian Foreign Minister Mikael Aghasandyan said that European countries had embarked on accelerated militarization and were openly discussing preparations for a direct armed confrontation with Russia. In his opinion, the West is simultaneously trying to increase its economic, humanitarian and military presence in Russia's neighboring countries.
