In 2026, about 40 territories around transport facilities will be improved in Moscow, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his channel in the Maks messenger. These include about three stations of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line, the Yuzhnaya and Rechnoy Vokzal transfer hubs, and the MCD stations.

"During such work, we are equipping convenient routes from residential buildings to stations, creating new recreation areas, sports areas, playgrounds and dog walking areas," wrote the mayor of the capital.

In particular, in 2026, it is planned to improve the territories of about three stations of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line under construction: Zvenigorodskaya, Narodnoe Opolchenie and General Karbyshev Boulevard, Sobyanin said. The Kolobok Square in Novokhoroshevsky Passage near the Narodnoe Opolchenie station and its playground will also be renovated. Specialists will also replace two platforms near the General Karbyshev Boulevard station.

In addition, the MCD stations are also included in the improvement program for 2026. The second stages of landscaping will take place near five of them — Begovaya city station, MCD-2 Tsaritsyno and Shcherbinka stations, MCD-3 Grachevskaya and Mosselmash, the mayor of the capital said. Landscaping of the territories adjacent to the stations MCD-2 Butovo, Grazhdanskaya, Volokolamsk and MCD-1 Moscow City will also begin.

Earlier, a part of Festivalnaya Street from Leningradskoye Highway to Smolnaya Street was renovated near Rechnoy Vokzal in Moscow. "This year, the next section of Festivalnaya is in line — from Lyapidevsky Street to Klinskaya," Sobyanin said.

In April, the construction of the Slavyansky Bulvar Moscow City railway station was completed, including five new dry legs canopies for passengers. The project was coordinated with the residents, the mayor emphasized.
