- The Federal Antimonopoly Service has opened a case against Nizhpharm due to the price of a blood pressure drug.
An antimonopoly case was initiated against the pharmaceutical company Nizhpharm, which unreasonably increased the cost of the drug Edarbi, which helps lower blood pressure, by up to 28%. This was reported on the website of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) on May 19.
"The pharmaceutical manufacturer unreasonably increased the selling prices of the drug by 19-28% (depending on the dosage). At the same time, the cost decreased, and the growth rate of profits significantly exceeded the growth in production costs," the text says.
