Isak Andich died in the mountains in the province of Barcelona in December 2024. He was 71 years old. According to the newspaper El País, the tragedy occurred during an excursion at an altitude of 150 m near the caves of Salnitre.

On May 17, 2026, the police resumed the investigation into Andich's death, and the businessman's murder is linked to the only witness— his son Jonathan.
