Association of heads of councils of apartment buildings to be created in Transbaikalia

An Association of representatives of the Council of Apartment buildings will appear in Transbaikalia. This was announced at the Housing Forum by the head of the State Housing Inspectorate Elena Smorodnikova.

She noted that in Russia such an association exists only in the Moscow region, while in other regions there is nothing like it. And this is despite the importance of the organization for housing and communal services policy.

According to ChitaMedia news agency, the future organization will have the status of an NGO. The decision to create it was supported by deputies of the regional legislative assembly and the regional Public Chamber.

In January, the Ministry of Housing, Energy, Digitalization and Communications of Transbaikalia reported that the deterioration of utility networks in the region is estimated at 70%. The ministry noted that the main obstacle to the replacement of networks remains the lack of funding. Thus, the preparation for the heating season is under the jurisdiction of municipalities, but local budgets do not provide funds for these purposes.
