Blogger Lercek underwent her fifth course of chemotherapy. What is known
Blogger Lercek (real name — Valeria Chekalina) has completed her fifth course of chemotherapy for stage four stomach cancer. All the details are in the Izvestia article.
The blogger's health status
Valeria Chekalina underwent the next stage of treatment and noted a positive trend. According to the blogger, the procedure went without the complications that had previously occurred. In her blog, she published medical documents and expert opinions confirming the diagnosis and procedures.
"Congratulations: the fifth chemistry is over, <...> i feel good, I didn't feel sick this time, I hope the nausea won't catch up with me in the next few days," she shared on her personal blog.
Despite her serious illness, Chekalina remains physically active. She devotes time to walking and swimming, which is necessary to recover from spinal surgery. Due to the blogger's health condition, the ongoing lawsuits involving her were temporarily suspended.
Criticism on social media
There are ongoing debates on the Internet about the reliability of the blogger's diagnosis. The reason for the new wave of discussions was the video from the fitness club, shot by Alina Raskovskaya. The footage shows Chekalina playing sports, which aroused the suspicions of some of the audience, as the blogger had recently announced a trip to therapy. The administration of the sports center terminated the contract with Raskovskaya in response to the secret shooting.
Additional questions from users were raised by documents according to which hospitalization was recommended by Chekalina on January 9th. The fact that she refused the examination became a reason for criticism. The Network is also discussing possible violations of the injunction against using the Internet.
Support for loved ones and new projects
The blogger's fiance Luis Squicciarini spoke about the difficulties his partner faced. According to him, due to bone metastases, Valeria Chekalina was in severe pain and had to use specialized means of transportation.
"Lera was in a wheelchair because of the pain caused by bone metastases, especially in her leg. Thanks to treatment, especially radiation therapy, the number of metastases decreased and her bones became healthier," said Squicciarini.
Against the background of the fight against the disease, the blogger continues to develop the business and launched a new cosmetics brand Eyya Skin. As part of the advertising campaign, Lercek starred without a wig. By her action, she decided to express her support for other women who are faced with cancer.
