Sales of new Honda cars in Russia increased 4.5 times
Sales of new Honda passenger cars in Russia increased 4.5 times in the first four months of 2026. This was announced on May 19 by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, in his Telegram channel.
So, in January-April, 2,140 new Honda passenger cars were registered in the country. This is 349% more than in the same period last year, when the Russians registered 477 cars of this Japanese brand.
Two crossovers accounted for almost 60% of the demand — the Honda CR-V (633 units) and the Vezel (627 units). The Honda WR-V (393 units), Stepwgn (178 units) and XR-V (106 units) were also popular.
According to the expert, slightly more than half of the new Honda cars (53%) that were brought to Russia were produced at car factories in China. Almost all the others came from Japan (43%). There are also unusual routes — 85 Honda WR-V units were supplied from India, and 10 Honda CR-V units from Canada.
The day before, it was reported that sales of new Skoda cars in Russia in January – April 2026 were three times higher than in the same period last year. Immediately, more than 95% of new Skoda cars arrived in Russia from China.
