Zakharova called Lithuania's threats of an attack on Kaliningrad suicidal paranoia
Threats by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budris about NATO military pressure against Kaliningrad are suicidal paranoia. This was announced on May 19 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"Suicidal paranoia," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Yevgeny Mishin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International and Interregional Relations, Security and Law and Order of the Legislative Assembly of the region, yesterday called Lithuania's call for NATO to attack the region hysterical. According to him, such attacks are becoming regular and are associated with increased information pressure.
Budris said on May 11 that it was necessary to return to the policy of pressure on Moscow. Later, on May 18, he called on NATO to demonstrate its readiness for military pressure on the Kaliningrad region. The Lithuanian Foreign Minister also noted that the Baltic states should not perceive Russia as a threat capable of quickly changing the situation in the region.
