On May 18, American entrepreneur Elon Musk announced his intention to appeal the court's decision in the case against Sam Altman, the head of OpenAI.

"I will appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court, because setting a precedent for embezzlement of charity funds is incredibly destructive for charity in America," reads a post on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to him, the judge and the jury did not rule on the case, and Altman and OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman were able to appropriate the charity's funds.

On April 8, Musk demanded through the court that Altman be removed from leadership at OpenAI. It was clarified that Musk's lawyers demand that, if the company's management admits guilt, Altman be removed from the post of director of the non-profit council, as well as deprive him and Brockman of managerial positions in the commercial division.

Bloomberg reported on January 17 that Musk is demanding damages from OpenAI and Microsoft in the amount of $79 billion to $134 billion for the alleged fraud. The statement stated that OpenAI had deceived Musk by abandoning the non-profit model and entering into a partnership with Microsoft.
