Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Valery Pustovoitenko became a victim of fraudsters who introduced themselves as employees of the SBU and the investigative police. This was reported on May 18 by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua" with reference to the prosecutor's office.

According to investigators, in April, two men aged 19 and 26 called the former official and sent him fake summonses. They stated that a criminal case had allegedly been opened against him on the purchase of "shaheds".

"Under psychological pressure, the man agreed to a "video search" and showed his savings," the newspaper quoted the agency as saying on the Telegram channel.

After that, following the instructions of the scammers, he put the money in a bag and handed it to the man who came to his house. The total amount of damage amounted to UAH 7 million.
