A criminal case on negligence has been opened in the Moscow region after two children left a preschool in Chekhov on their own. This was announced on May 18 by the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) for the Moscow region.

"Today, two five—year-old pupils of one of the kindergartens in Chekhov, while on a walk, unnoticed by the teacher, left the territory of the preschool and went in an unknown direction," the agency's website says.

The criminal case is being investigated under art. 293 of the Criminal Code ("Negligence") and art. 156 of the Criminal Code ("Failure to fulfill duties for the upbringing of minors"). It is noted that the whereabouts of the missing have already been established, and in the near future they will have to talk with the investigator in the presence of their parents.

"The children have been found and handed over to their parents! Thank you all for your help!" — Mikhail Sobakin, Deputy head of the Chekhov City District administration, confirmed in his Telegram channel.

On April 29, an 11-year-old girl who disappeared while walking with her friends was found dead in the Krasnodar Territory. The LizaAlert search and rescue team expressed their condolences to the child's family and friends. About 700 people took part in the search, including volunteers from the detachment, veterans of a special military operation, Cossacks and local residents.
