A forest fire was recorded in one of the districts of Yakutia

One active forest fire was recorded in Yakutia. The fire occurred in Namsky district.

The fire area is 3 hectares. 18 people and five pieces of equipment are fighting the fire, writes IA YakutiaMedia with reference to the press service of the regional government.

Since the beginning of the fire season, 14 forest fires have been registered in the republic. The total area covered by the fire is 65.3 hectares. During the same period of 2025, 76 forest fires were recorded on an area of about 35 thousand hectares. There are also 10 registered landscape fires on an area of more than 73 hectares. Last year, over the same period, 166 such fires were recorded on an area of about 5.4 thousand hectares.

Earlier, on May 13, it was reported that the situation with fires in the Khabarovsk Territory is gradually stabilizing. 14 forest fires were recorded in seven municipalities, four of them have already been localized. The situation is personally controlled by Governor Dmitry Demeshin.
