A special fire protection regime will start operating in the Lipetsk region on May 20. Emergency services will strengthen forest patrols.

The special regime implies a restriction of visits to forests, as well as a ban on the use of barbecues and other devices for cooking on an open fire in forests. In addition, there is a ban on burning grass and garbage, and building bonfires on the territories of gardening associations. This is reported by GOROD48.

The special fire protection regime will last until September 30. Restrictions will apply in the Dankovsky, Gryazinsky, Yeletsky, Donskoy, Dobrovolsky, Chaplyginsky, Usmansky, Terbunsky and Zadonsky forestry districts, as well as in Lipetsk.

Last week, the authorities of the Khabarovsk Territory announced the stabilization of the situation with forest fires. The situation with smoke in populated areas has also improved due to a decrease in the number of fires.
