In the Khabarovsk Territory, an all-terrain vehicle with forest firefighters was involved in an accident. Four people were injured.

As the regional Ministry of Forestry and Timber Processing told IA AmurMedia, the incident occurred on May 17 on the 154th km of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur- Berezovy village road, when 10 employees of the KGSAU DV Airbase were being taken to extinguish a forest fire.

The driver of the all-terrain vehicle lost control on a gravel road. Four employees of the airbase were hospitalized in Khabarovsk hospitals. Two were sent for outpatient treatment, while the rest are in satisfactory condition.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of the accident. DV Airbase and the labor inspectorate are conducting an inspection at the enterprise.

Earlier, on May 18, it was reported that over the past weekend, 643 accidents occurred on Russian roads, in which 62 people were killed and 782 injured. This was reported by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. 35 accidents involving buses were recorded, in which one person was killed, 44 more road users, including six children, needed medical help. The reason for 18 bus accidents were traffic violations committed by their drivers.
