The hit-and-run occurred on Sunday, May 17, on Krylova Street. It was previously established that the 54-year-old Chevrolet driver hit a child who was crossing the roadway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

As a result of the accident, a 10-year-old boy received various injuries. Doctors were unable to save him, he died in an ambulance, writes the news agency " <url>".

A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules that negligently caused the death of a person." The circumstances of the incident are being established.

According to the Criminal Code, the maximum sanction of this article provides for up to five years in prison.
