The State Duma ruled out raising the retirement age in the next 15-20 years

There are no expected risks of raising the retirement age in Russia in the next 15-20 years. This was announced on May 18 by Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

She stated that there comes a period in life when a person can no longer continue working, even if he retains such a desire. According to Bessarab, this is due not only to age, but also to a number of other factors.

"In order to receive a pension longer, one of us must continue to work. Today, there is such a social contract that, in my opinion, cannot be violated over the next 15-20 years," she said in an interview with the Moscow Says radio station.
