The victim did not ask for harsh punishment for the blogger's ex-stylist Lercek

The victim in the case of the blogger's ex-stylist Valeria Chekalina (Lerchek) Elvira Yankovskaya, who is accused of fraud, does not ask for severe punishment because she has children. This was reported on May 18 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the Lefortovo Court in Moscow.

According to the victim, Chekalina's name was a status symbol, so she was confident in the quality of things. It was about two brand bags (Louis Vuitton and Prada), a set of Balenciaga jewelry and a scarf. The total amount of products amounted to 398 thousand rubles. The victim found a bubble wrap in the bag, explaining that expensive things are not packed like that. She didn't want to bring up the situation, as she trusted Elvira one hundred percent.

Subsequently, the items were sent for examination, which showed that it was a very cheap fake. However, the amount of damage has not been reimbursed. The items were lost by the investigation: the victim handed them over to the investigation through Chekalin, the investigator confirmed receipt, but later the items disappeared.

When asked by the judge about the punishment, the victim replied: "She has two children, so I don't want very severe punishment, it will be enough to return the money to the cheated and apologize." According to the investigation, Yankovskaya positioned herself as a professional stylist.

For a year and a half, the accused sold items from luxury brands Christian Dior, Prada and Hermès to Lercek and other clients at below-market prices. Subsequently, the examination confirmed that Yankovskaya's goods were fake. The stylist bought clothes and bags at the Sadovod market, as well as at the Lyublino and Dubrovka shopping centers.

On April 28, Moscow's Lefortovo Court extended Yankovskaya's preventive measure in the form of detention until August 19. Then the defendant began to cry in the courtroom and asked to change the measure of restraint to house arrest. She stated that she has two children who need her.

In early April, it was reported that the stylist sold Lercek a fake Hermes bag for about 780 thousand rubles. The examinations initiated by the buyers after doubts about the authenticity of the goods confirmed that the designer items turned out to be counterfeit products of poor quality. In October last year, Yankovskaya's preventive measure was tightened from a written undertaking not to leave for a six-month detention.

Back in 2023, Chekalina accused Yankovskaya of selling fakes of branded items under the guise of the original. The blogger noted that her friends also bought fakes from the stylist. At the same time, Lercek estimated the damage at a large amount, and a criminal case was opened.
