The State Duma recalled the possibility of receiving compensation for old deposits

Russian citizens born before 1991 and their heirs are entitled to receive compensation for old deposits that remained valid on June 20, 1991 and were not closed until December of the same year. This was recalled on May 18 by State Duma deputy Dmitry Svishchev, the LDPR faction.

"The state pays compensation for old deposits. The depositors themselves are eligible for payment — Russian citizens born before 1991 inclusive, as well as their heirs. The main condition was that the deposit should remain valid on June 20, 1991 and not be closed until the end of December of the same year," he told RIA Novosti.
