Stat News reported on the possible infection of US citizens with Ebola in the DRC

Several U.S. citizens who were in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) during the Ebola outbreak may have been in contact with people infected with the virus. This was reported on May 17 by the Stat News portal, citing sources.

"At least one of these people may have developed symptoms," the publication says.

It is noted that currently there are no available test results for the virus of any of the potential infected. At the same time, it is reported that the US government is trying to arrange for their removal from the DRC to a place where it will be safe to quarantine and provide care for potential patients.
