On May 17, Russian athletes won gold in the "trio" exercise in shooting from a small-caliber pistol at a distance of 25 m among the juniors at the European Championships in Osijek (Croatia).

It is noted that Valeria Ganakova, Sofia Smetankina and Evgenia Paderina took the podium.

The competition in Osijek will end on May 17. The International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) has allowed Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international tournaments in an individual neutral status.

Biathlete Karim Khalili won the sprint at the Russian Championships on March 14. He covered the distance in 24 minutes, 48.1 seconds, without making a single miss on two firing lines. The second place was taken by Roman Eremin, who was 21.5 seconds behind and made two mistakes. Alexander Povarnitsyn became the third, who finished with a gap of 45.7 seconds and one miss.
