One person was killed and two injured in an accident involving a car that caught fire in the Amur region. This was announced on May 17 by the Amur Center for Civil Protection and Fire Safety.
"The accident occurred on the Blagoveshchensk-Gomelevka highway. According to preliminary information, the accident began with the breakdown of a foreign car <...> Young men in a Toyota Mark II drove up to the broken foreign car and decided to light the battery <...> at that time, a Toyota Nadia was moving towards us. The driver did not have time to react to the situation and collided with the car," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
Rescuers clarified that the impact was so strong that the car was thrown far away from the collision site. As a result of the collision, the Toyota Nadia caught fire. According to the center, the extinguishing process took longer than usual, as the car was lying on its side, and the flames spread faster. As a result of the accident, a passenger in a Toyota Mark II car was killed. The driver and passenger of the Toyota Nadia are injured.
On May 16, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Moscow region reported an accident on a highway in the Dmitrovsky district of the Moscow region. The man, driving a truck, collided with eight cars that stopped at a forbidding traffic light. Four people were injured in the accident.
