Malta became the first country in the world to conclude an agreement with OpenAL, according to which all residents of the country will be able to use the ChatGPT Plus service for free. This was announced on May 16 on the official OpenAL website.

"Today, OpenAI and the Maltese government announce the world's first partnership project to introduce ChatGPT Plus to all Maltese citizens. The initiative will provide citizens with access to intelligent technologies and help them <...> use this technology in their daily lives," the publication says.

It is noted that the University of Malta will provide courses for everyone interested in the study of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. At the end of this course, Maltese people will be able to use ChatGPT Plus for free for just one year.
