Durov ironically commented on the work of air defense in Dubai

Telegram founder Pavel Durov highly appreciated the work of the air defense system In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), he said that he misses the "Iranian fireworks" that helped clear the city of impressionable people. He announced this on May 16 in his Telegram channel.

"We already miss the Iranian fireworks — they helped to clear the city of those who are easy to impress," he wrote.

He added that the Emirates' air defense system had proven itself well under Iranian shelling. According to him, with a tax of 0%, UAE citizens will receive better protection than Europeans who pay a tax of 50%.

Earlier, on May 4, a fire broke out at an oil industrial facility (NPO) in Fujairah, UAE. According to the city authorities, the fire occurred as a result of a drone attack from Iran. The UAE Defense Ministry added that three missiles were intercepted over the country's airspace. Another shell flew into the sea.

The UAE government, in turn, strongly condemned the attacks by Iran on civilian targets in the country and reserved the right to respond to them.
