Residents of Izmail, Odessa region, chased after employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine). This was reported by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua" in his Telegram channel.

"In Izmail, Odessa region, a group of men chased away military commissars," the publication says.

The published footage shows several men on motorcycles chasing a minibus of the military enlistment office along a country road. According to the newspaper, the staff had to leave through the field.

Ukrainian journalists also note that, according to some reports, representatives of the local Roma community could have rebuffed the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Earlier, on May 4, it was reported that employees of the territorial recruitment center mobilized Denis Postolenko, a 40-year-old local resident in the Odessa region, despite having serious problems with vision, hearing and spine. According to Postolenko, who is an ordinary soldier of the 159th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he had not previously been called up for military service due to his health condition. However, in April 2025, the man was forcibly taken to the shopping mall and sent to the troops.

On January 14, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, announced that 2 million men were wanted in Ukraine through territorial recruitment centers (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office). He noted that of these 2 million citizens, many have problems with military registration documents, and another 200 thousand people are listed as having voluntarily left their units.
