Men from the age of 60 and women from the age of 55 can receive pension savings in one amount — about 440 thousand rubles, if their monthly funded pension does not exceed 10% of the federal pensioner's subsistence level. This was announced on May 16 by Igor Balynin, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

"The right to receive payments from pension savings comes upon reaching the retirement age, which was valid in 2018: 55 years for women and 60 years for men. Savings are paid in a lump sum if the amount generated is less than the estimated value, the amount of which is linked to the subsistence minimum," Balynin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, in 2026, the living wage for pensioners will be 16,288 rubles, which means that those with a funded pension will receive the right to a lump sum payment — no more than 1,628.8 rubles per month. If the amount of savings does not exceed 439,776 rubles, it will be paid immediately. For example, if you have 85 thousand rubles in your account, a person will receive the entire amount at a time.

"If the savings turn out to be more than the established limit (for example, 485 thousand rubles), then the citizen will be assigned a lifetime monthly pension — in this case it will amount to 1,796 rubles per month," Balynin added.

RANEPA expert Tatiana Podolskaya reported on May 13 that in 2026, the right to an old-age pension is granted to women aged 59 and men aged 64 if they have at least 15 years of official experience and at least 30 pension points. She clarified that at least 15 years of work experience are also required to receive an old-age insurance pension this year. Also, as the expert noted, in 2026, the restriction on including the period of child care in the insurance record was lifted.
