Magyar announced his refusal to pay severance pay to Orban

The new Hungarian authorities will not pay severance payments to members of the former government of former Prime Minister Viktor Orban. This was announced on May 15 by the new Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, on the social network X.

"Viktor Orban, who, on paper, owns practically nothing, should receive a severance package in the amount of 38.8 million Hungarian forints ($124.5 thousand — Ed.) according to the law that he himself proposed. <...> He will not receive it," the politician said.

This amount included payments for three months, as well as the salary of the Prime Minister for six months.
