Private Pavlov destroyed the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the protection of the assault group

Private Artyom Pavlov destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) during a combat mission The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), thereby protecting the assault group of the Russian Army (RF Armed Forces). The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Saturday, May 16.

The task of the assault group, which included Private Pavlov, was to hold the stronghold of the Ukrainian military in one of the important tactical areas. The Ukrainian Armed Forces militants decided to launch attacks by UAVs with an ammunition drop system. However, Private Pavlov, dodging the first blow of the Ukrainians, took a more advantageous position and destroyed the drone in the air with well-aimed shots.

The actions of Private Artyom Pavlov allowed the Russian assault group to reach the AFU positions without losses and successfully complete the combat mission, which allowed the Russian motorized rifle units to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses.

The Ministry of Defense also noted the professionalism of Corporal Roman Berezin, who provided fire support to the Russian assault group.

Corporal Berezin, arriving at the specified point, after assessing the situation, discovered and eliminated a machine-gun emplacement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, a Russian fighter in the crew neutralized the reinforcement of Ukrainian soldiers using an automatic grenade launcher.

The actions of Corporal Berezin opened the way for further advance of the assault group and created the conditions for the enemy's retreat, which allowed the Russian Armed Forces to occupy more advantageous lines and positions.

Squad commander Sergeant Maxim Karavaev evacuated wounded Russian servicemen in the rear area, despite attacks by the AFU FPV drones. During the withdrawal of the injured, the group was suddenly attacked by an enemy attack drone. Karavaev decided to send the group further and divert the threat to himself. With an accurate shot, he shot down a Ukrainian drone.
