President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky talks about the need to strengthen the border with Belarus in order to attract the attention of NATO countries and speed up the transfer of credit to the Kiev regime. This was reported to Izvestia on May 15 by a military expert, captain of the 1st rank of the reserve Vladimir Gundarov.

The head of the Kiev regime said on the same day that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would strengthen the Belarusian direction due to the alleged threat of Minsk's entry into the conflict.

"There's probably a certain point to this. Firstly, to sow distrust and concern for their future among their European colleagues if Belarus [allegedly] enters this <conflict>. And secondly, so that the plan to transfer this €90 billion in aid, which was promised, has already been allocated to Kiev, but has not yet been transferred, does not fail. Just to escalate the situation," Gundarov said.

He noted that the Ukrainian authorities use the principle "if you ask more, they will give you more." At the same time, their European sponsors, according to him, continue to allocate funds to the Kiev regime and strengthen their troops out of fear of an imaginary threat.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Artyom Dmytruk reported on January 28 that Zelensky was seriously considering the scenario of an offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of Belarus. The parliamentarian said that Zelensky currently lacks the necessary technical means, but he is actively taking steps aimed at escalating the conflict and delaying the prospects for a peaceful settlement.

On April 20, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Ukraine's continued militarization could lead to the loss of statehood. In his opinion, Zelensky is paying a high price for his policies and the current conflict and must take into account the possible consequences of his decisions.
