Most often, trouble-free cars on the Russian secondary market are found among cars with a hybrid power plant. Experts from Avtoteka (Avito project) told Izvestia about this on May 16, who compared the share of cars without accidents among models with engines of different types. The study included models for which users ordered reports in the period from September 2025 to April 2026.
Hybrid cars remained the leaders in the overall share of accident—free operation - accident-free cars occupied 88% of the market in this segment, the result is comparable to last year. The most trouble-free brands were Lynk & Co, Hyundai, Geely, Toyota and Porsche. Among the models, the highest accident-free share was shown by: Toyota Venza, Hyundai Santa Fe, Toyota Corolla and RAV4, as well as Honda CR-V, Toyota Camry, Jeep Wrangler, Li Auto L6, Kia Sorento and BMW X5.
Among gasoline-powered vehicles, the share of accident-free vehicles was 81.2%. You can find the most likely instance without an accident among Chevrolet, Geely, Haval, Lada and Chery cars. Among the individual models, experts identified Lada Niva Legend and Niva Travel, Geely Monjaro, Chevrolet Niva, Lada Vesta Cross, UAZ Patriot, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Lada Vesta and XRay.
The accident-free level of diesel cars has reached 65.3%. The top brands in this indicator include Peugeot, Renault, Hyundai, Kia and Volkswagen. The leaders in the number of accident-free cars among the models were Renault Megane, Hyundai Palisade, Kia Sportage, Volkswagen Passat, Kia Mohave, Great Wall Poer, Kia Sorento, Hyundai Tucson, Renault Duster and Audi Q8.
Among the large regions, Moscow (87.8%), Krasnodar Krai (86.4%) and Moscow Region (84.4%) became the leaders in the share of accident-free cars with a hybrid engine. Among gasoline cars, the largest share of trouble-free operation was recorded in the Altai Territory (77.6%), Penza (75%) and Omsk (74.6%) regions. Bryansk (76.4%) and Lipetsk (75.6%) regions, as well as the Republic of Crimea (75%) became the leaders in the diesel segment in terms of accident safety. Gasoline—powered vehicles account for the largest share in the reports - more than 86%. Diesel cars account for about 11%, while the share of hybrid cars is about 1%, experts noted.
Earlier, on April 29, it became known that the prices of popular cars older than 10 years at dealers in Russia were 25% lower than at private sellers. On average, car dealerships' offers for cars in similar condition are 2% cheaper than for individuals.
