Journalist Vladimir Pozner and Channel One CEO Konstantin Ernst came to say goodbye to TV presenter Vladimir Molchanov. Footage from the ceremony on May 15 is published by Izvestia.

In addition, relatives and friends of journalists, including composer, music editor, author of the stories "Before and after Midnight" Vladimir Davydenko, came to the farewell ceremony.

"I always looked at him (Molchanov. — Ed.) from the bottom up, because <...> he always surprised me with his amazing taste," Davydenko said.

It is noted that the funeral service of the journalist was held in the church of Cosmas and Damian in Shubin. Dozens of people came to say goodbye to Molchanov.

The death of the 75-year-old TV presenter became known on the night of May 13. Oncologist Evgeny Cheremushkin said on the same day that Molchanov died due to a long illness, and in 2025 he was hospitalized several times.

Sports commentator Georgy Cherdantsev, in turn, noted that Molchanov never showed confusion in the frame and was able to keep his face under any circumstances. The journalist, along with Molchanov, hosted the morning broadcasts of the Olympic channel at the London Olympics in 2012. According to him, it was a real master class for him.
