Football player Pavel Pogrebnyak was included in the database of the extremist website "Peacemaker"

The name of Pavel Pogrebnyak, a former football player of the Russian national football team, was added to the database of the Ukrainian website "Mirotvorets" (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

The 42-year-old athlete is allegedly charged with an attempt on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as complicity in crimes against the country and its citizens.

It is specified that the reason was the participation of an athlete in a children's football tournament in Saratov, where teams consisting of children of participants competed.

Pogrebnyak, being a forward of Zenit football club (FC), became the winner of the Russian championship, the national Super Cup, the UEFA Cup and the Super Cup. The striker has played 33 matches for the Russian national team and scored eight goals.

Basketball player Vitaly Fridzon, who won bronze at the 2012 Olympic Games, was added to the database of the Ukrainian resource "Mirotvorets" on May 11. On the resource, he was accused of encroaching on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as supporting a special military operation.
