- In Sterlitamak, a schoolboy was injured on a carousel due to the actions of the operator
In Sterlitamak, a 12-year-old schoolboy was injured after riding the Waltz Shell carousel. In a conversation with Izvestia on May 15, his mother's friend reported that the ride operator had started the mechanism without making sure that the child was wearing a seat belt.
"The operator asked him to move to another shell, and he went because the child is very obedient. The operator, not making sure that the child was seated and strapped in, turned on the ride, and it was thrown back. It got into the mechanism itself, it turns out," the woman clarified.
She added that the boy was taken to Ufa by sanitation — he spent several days in intensive care. Now the child has been transferred to the ward, he is in a state of shock and in severe pain.
"Neither the administration, nor the owner of the park, nor the park manager, no one contacted the mother at all and did not ask about the child's condition," the woman said.
The prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the incident. The investigative department of the Investigative Committee (SU IC) of Russia for the Republic of Bashkortostan reported that a criminal case had been opened into the incident under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers, which negligently caused serious harm to human health").
"During the investigation, a legal assessment will be given to the actions of those responsible for compliance with safety regulations and proper maintenance of entertainment facilities," the agency said in a publication on the Maks messenger.
On May 13, the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Dagestan reported that a girl had lost a toe in a preschool in Makhachkala. According to law enforcement agencies, after the girl pinched her finger on the door, the educators cut it off and put it in her tights. No ambulance was called for the child. The parents, having discovered the injury, took their daughter to the hospital.
The head of the city's education department, Shagane Baymurzayeva, reported that the head of the kindergarten and three employees of the kindergarten were dismissed in Makhachkala. A three-year-old girl who lost a finger was later discharged from the hospital.
