Iran announced the US rejection of the republic's plan to resolve the conflict.

The US authorities rejected Iran's plan for a possible settlement of the conflict, consisting of 14 points. This was reported on May 15 by the Iranian Mehr News agency.

"The U.S. government has responded to Iran's written proposal to end the war. By rejecting Tehran's proposals, the United States has reaffirmed its position of blackmail," the article says.

According to the agency, the Iranian side's proposal was based on a two-stage negotiation process. The first stage involves the end of hostilities. The second stage, if Tehran's conditions are met, implies the start of negotiations on the nuclear issue.

On May 12, the Fars news agency reported that Iran had put forward five demands to the United States necessary for the resumption of the negotiation process to resolve the conflict. It was clarified that the demands include: "ending the war on all fronts, especially in Lebanon," "lifting anti-Iranian sanctions," "unblocking Iranian funds," "compensation for damage caused by the war," and "recognition of Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz."

At the same time, the American leader Donald Trump noted that he wanted to conclude a good deal with Iran and was waiting for the situation to develop further.
